Selecting the Right Vendor

This client needed help choosing a vendor to implement new software to support membership and billing activities for one of their largest customers.

Diamond i’s role included reviewing the technical architecture of each prospective vendor’s software solution to make sure that it was in line with the client’s technical specifications and aligned with the client’s fundamental business objectives. During the initial review, Diamond i determined that two of the vendors that responded to the RFP could not meet the client’s needs. Because of our ability to quickly uncover incompatibilities in the beginning of the process, our client (and the two prospective vendors) saved valuable time, and the client could focus its attention, time and resources on making a decision among the vendors that could provide a workable solution. In the end, the appropriate vendor was selected and a solution provided that was a good fit for the client’s business objectives.
